Wireless News Issue 69

Following our last newsletter in March, TeamTalk has completed the sale of 70% of Farmside to Vodafone. This transaction has been good for both parties; Vodafone strengthens their commitment to rural New Zealand, and TeamTalk reduces debt. TeamTalk continues to have operational responsibility for Farmside under a management agreement.

TeamTalk's major work programmes accelerate as we move through the year. We recently announced our intent to upgrade our analogue Mobile Radio network to a digital platform. This process starts with the release of an RFP in July. We expect to have final supply agreements in place towards the end of the year and look forward to discussing with our customers the benefits of digital radio communication for your business.

We have also announced that we will soon start to underground the CityLink Fibre network in Wellington, pending the removal of the trolley bus infrastructure. We acknowledge the support of PowerCo and Cable Car Company in helping us develop solutions to extend the roll out timeframe with an expected completion date of 2021.
